‘American Idol’ fans claim competition ‘rigged’ as Iam Tongi named winner

The competitors ended on a flat notice.

Viewers of Sunday’s “American Idol” season finale slammed the singing present on social media claiming that the competitors was “rigged” in favor of 18-year-old Iam Tongi who turned the youngest male ever to win the truth present.

The Hawaiian highschool pupil, who misplaced his father shortly earlier than his audition, beat out finalists Megan Danielle, 20, and Colin Stough,18, for the highest spot which left a number of followers scratching their heads.

One other viewer vented their frustration by tweeting on the host. “@RyanSeacrest So Ryan I believed #AmericanIdol was a singing contest? Any cause why the clearly higher singer didn’t win? Curious…simply asking Thanks.”

The Put up reached out to Tongi and “American Idol” for remark.
