Son of ex-NFLer Bubby Brister arrested in fatal hit and run

Walter Andrew Brister IV, the 21-year-old son of former NFL quarterback Walter Andrew “Bubby” Brister III, has been arrested following a deadly hit-and-run that occurred close to LSU over the weekend, in keeping with a number of reviews.

Brister, who has been accused of placing a pedestrian named Jude Jarreau late Saturday, surrendered to Baton Rouge police on Wednesday.

The 44-year-old Jarreau is claimed to have been making an attempt to cross Ben Hur Highway when he was hit by an SUV, per police. The car allegedly took off earlier than authorities arrived.

Jarreau died on the scene.

John McLindon, who’s representing Brister, contacted Hillar Moore, the East Baton Rouge District Lawyer, following the incident.

“I used to be on the cellphone with Hillar Moore Sunday,” McLindon mentioned, in keeping with The Advocate. “I mentioned we’re not operating, we’re not hiding, we need to self-surrender. He put me in contact with BRPD.”
