SA: BRICS Summit to go as planned despite Putin arrest warrant

South Africa stated Thursday that the BRICS summit will go forward as deliberate, amid hypothesis that it could be moved to China to permit Russian president Vladimir Putin to attend.

The Russian chief was accused by the **Worldwide Legal Courtroom (ICC)**in March of kidnapping Ukrainian youngsters, and an arrest warrant was issued towards him.

South Africa will host the BRICS summit from August 22-24 in Johannesburg.

On Tuesday, South Africa’s overseas minister stated there had been no affirmation of attendance from Putin.

The leaders of China, Brazil and India are all anticipated to attend.

South Africa has been attacked by the west for its impartial stance on the battle in Ukraine.

Again in Could, the US ambassador to South Africa publicly accused the rainbow nation of loading arms or associated applied sciences onto a Russian ship docked at Simon’s City naval base.

These accusations have been denied by President Cyril Ramaphosa, who has since opened an investigation on the matter.
