QB adds to Ravens drama on Twitter

Lamar Jackson’s three-word tweet has put an even larger focus on his contract talks with the Ravens as his self-imposed Week 1 deadline for striking a new deal nears.

Jackson, the former NFL MVP, is now a free agent and can become an NFL MVP after 2022.

“No they didn’t,” wrote JacksonWho does not have an agent?

Jackson, who’s set to earn $23 million this season on his fifth-year rookie option, also liked a tweet with a photoHe had his photo taken in a Dolphins shirt. He wrote on Twitter that he grew up a Cowboys fan, “but Dolphins were second no doubt.”

Deshaun Watson’s five-year, $230 million contract with the Browns is fully guaranteed, setting a new benchmark for quarterbacks. Watson was suspended for 11 games and fined $5M after more than twenty-six women accused him of sexual misconduct.

Jackson threw for 3,127 yard, 36 touchdowns, and six interceptions in 15 games during the 2019 MVP season. He also ran for 1,206 yards and seven touchdowns. The Ravens went 14-2, but lost to Titans in the divisional round.

Jackson had 2,757 passing yards in 2020 with 26 touchdowns. Jackson also had nine interceptions. Jackson also ran 1,005 miles rushing for seven more scores. Baltimore went 11-5 and took revenge on the Titans in Round 2 before falling to the Bills.

Jackson was limited last season to 12 games. He threw for 2,882 yards, 16 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions as the Ravens went 8-9.
