Weldon residents remember Wes Peterson, one of Saskatchewan’s stabbing victims

Wes Peterson was one of many victims in Sunday’s stabbings in Saskatchewan that claimed ten lives and injured 18 folks.

Peterson was an older gentleman that lived in Weldon.

“Once I discovered my good friend was killed, I simply hit the bottom,” mentioned Ruby Works, a neighbour.

Works mentioned Peterson favored to do some gardening, planting cucumbers and tomatoes, and favored to indicate off his two cats.

“He was happy with making his blueberry jelly.”

She mentioned she had identified Peterson since she was slightly lady.

Works added that Peterson’s grandson lived with him, and that his grandson had hid.

“[Peterson’s family] are all in shock, the entire neighborhood is. The neighborhood is just not going to be the identical with out him,” mentioned Works.

April Audette, certainly one of Wes’s neighbours, mentioned her canine bonded with Peterson.

“He was the sweetest previous man. He was the kindest man,” mentioned Audette.

Leroy Shier has lived in Weldon since 1976, and mentioned the entire thing was mindless.

“It is mindless in any respect, like why would two younger folks stab and kill an older fella like that?”

“[Peterson] can’t struggle again, he’s no hazard to anyone, by no means was,” added Shier.

“No one deserves that, it doesn’t matter who you’re.”

Each suspects, Myles and Damien Sanderson, are nonetheless at giant. Saskatchewan RCMP mentioned if anybody has any data relating to the incident, to name 9-1-1.
