Anne Heche matched with organ recipient, will be taken off life support

According to a report, Anne Heche has been paired up with an organ-donation recipient. She will be taken off life support on Sunday.

Heche, 53 years old, was declared brain-dead Friday by California. California law says that a person becomes deceased after a declaration, even if they still have heartbeats.

CNN confirmed that the actress had planned to donate her organs.

“It has long been her choice to donate her organs,” her rep told Page Six last week.

She is being kept alive by machines until the donation occurs.

The actress, best known for her role as Patricia Campbell in NBC’s drama “The Brave,” never regained consciousness after suffering horrific burns in a car crash Aug. 5.

According to a report, Heche was carrying drugs when she drove her Mini Cooper into a home in suburban Los Angeles. This set off a serious fire. The Los Angeles Police Department obtained a warrant shortly after pulling the actress from the wreckage to also test her blood-alcohol level.
