Israel has carried out a third day of air raids on Gaza. The military claims it is targeting the armed group of Palestinian Islamic Jihad.
But it is civilians who are bearing the brunt of the worst violence since last year’s 11-day war. Since Friday, dozens of Palestinians, including 15 kids, have been killed. The armed group has launched more than 500 rockets at Israel.
The prime minister of Palestine says violence must end.
So what’s needed to deliver permanent peace? How does the latest round in attacks affect the mediation efforts?
